This particular set can be found on page 227 of the annual catalog and can be purchased in both wood mount and clear mount rubber.
The card we created today is one of the samples from the annual catalog…
This card uses 3 techniques but makes up really quickly. Especially when using the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards.
The first technique is “stamping off”. This is where you ink the stamp full strength, then stamp off onto a scrap piece of paper before stamping onto your project. This creates a lighter and subdued image. I did this in Mint Macaron Ink on the card base (using the textured stamp) and the floral image.
The second technique is “markering”. One of the benefits to having Stampin’ Write Markers in your collection is that they are not just a great writing tool but the ink can be used to color on stamps to get multi-colored images as seen with the flowers. I used Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and Old Olive for the stems. The random 3 flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral.
The third and final technique (my favorites!!) is Heat Embossing. Using the sentiment “Just a note” from the Better Together Stamp Set, I heat embossed on Blackberry Bliss Cardstock with WHite Embossing Powder and VersaMark Ink.
To add final touches to this beautiful card, I used Copper Metallic Thread, a True Gentleman Button, and a piece on In-Color 6×6 DSP. I even stamped the smae image in the bottom right corner of the envelope because of course you can’t leave it naked!!
The measurements for this card are as follows:
Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 2 1/2″
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 1″
In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP Cardstock: 3″ x 1″
