Stampin’ Up! is giving our color collections a makeover by introducing NEW current and on trend colors, There are a variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more! Let’s take a look at how it works.
First off what is the difference between a revamp vs. refresh?
A REFRESH is when a few core colors change.
A REVAMP is when a lot of core colors change.
Stampin’ Up! thought that since we are rebranding, this was the perfect time to introduce a revamp of our color collections!!
Why are we revamping?
If you go to Target, you don’t expect to see the same items during the season every single year! Stampin’ Up! is no different. Color trends change and we want to stay current, fresh and on trend! I know some are apprehensive, but this allows us to to fall in love with new colors, play with new color combos, and continue to put our creativity to work and inspire!!
I also love this company because they listen to the feedback we give and one of the things they have have taken to heart was bringing back some well loved retired colors and added them into the new collections!! How awesome is that?
Since there is so much information now and to come, I have provided some awesome color coaches to get those color juices flowing and to assist you with the transition!!

What can we expect from this revamp?
We are keeping 27 of the existing core colors and saying goodbye to 13 core colors (no longer available after May 31-while supplies last!!)
There are 5 new In-Colors and 10 new core colors added, in addition to 6 popular & previously retired colors that will now be core colors .
Here is the new Color Collections
You my have noticed that Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White are missing!! No worries….they are now in their own color collection called “Basics” This gave Stampin’ Up! the ability to add 3 additional colors to the collections! Yippee.
NEW & IMPROVED INK PADS
Now that we talked about the new colors, lets talk real quick about the new ink pad cases & new & improved formula!!
So since the mold to create the ink cases is expiring, Stampin’ Up! decided to listen to our suggestions, feedback and concerns and improve upon it! And what better way to align it’s debut than with all of the branding, revamping that’s going on!
Here’s why these in pads are better…
- Less confusing to open
- Have a tighter fit between lid & base
- They’re stackable
- Included improved labelds
- Defoamer has been added to the ink to prevent ink bubbles when stamping and on the pad!!
Of course as with anything that is new and greater quality, the price will increase a little. But rest assured, it’s worth it!!
So this was a lot of info…and there are more updates to come! So stay tuned…
Happy Stamping!!
