Challenge accepted!! So on the Facebook group I am a part of, we were tasked to create a card using three colors: Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz, and Pacific Point. What a lovely color combo to create with. So here is the card I created..
So there has been so much hype about the new embossing paste, so of course I had to try it out for myself. I have to say for someone who has never used embossing paste before, I am in love! The initial scooping of the paste reminded me of icing and frosting a cake. The texture was so smooth to spread around the mask. One thing to note when using this paste is to make sure you work fairly quickly because it dries really fast. It is recommended to clean all the tools immediately after use to prevent the paste from drying on the tools.
I used paste with the brick Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I dyed a small amount of paste with Tempting turquoise Re-inker and applied it to a piece of whisper white cardstock. Mixing the color into the paste was my favorite part. I used one of my non-Stampin’ Up! acrylic blocks to hold the paste.
I then die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment with the new Happy Birthday Thinlit Die and stamped/punched a daisy from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. For the finishing touches, I added a clear faceted gem to the center of the daisy and a rhinestone to the “I.”
I enjoyed creating this card so much and so infatuated by this stuff, I just had to keep creating!!
I got this idea from Wendy Cranford’s video called Embossing Paste Tricks and Tips. I hanged it up a little bit by adding the Pacific Point and Vellum banner and embossing the Friend sentiment from Lovely Inside and Out Stamp set in white embossing powder. You can see in this card it isn’t very smooth so practice is still needed but I still love how it came out! If you love these projects, be sure to stop by my online store—>HERE
Here is a list of all the products I used in these projects!
I look forward to using more of this paste and look forward to seeing you designs! Give this challenge a try!! Are you up to the task? Post you creations below!! Happy stamping!!
