Happiest Birthday Cool Treats Card Tutorial

To create this beautiful birthday card you will need the following:

  • 1 sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ Crumb Cake Cardstock cut to measure 4.25″ x 5.5″ for the card base
  • 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4″ x 5.25″-these serve as the matte for the outside and inside of the card
  • 1 piece of Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper (1.5″ x 5.25″)
  • 1 piece of Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper (3″ x 1″)- this is the banner
  • 1 piece of Whisper White Cardstock (2.5″ x 1.5″) – this is for the sentiment
  • 1 Piece of Tasty Treat Orange Washi Tape (5.5″)
  • 1 Piece of Whisper White Cardstock (3″ x 3 “)- for stamping and cutting the images
  • Cool Treats Stamp Set (#142982)
  • Frozen Treats Framelits Dies (#142756)
  • Inks:
    • Tempting turquoise
    • Pumpkin Pie
    • Real Red
    • Old Olive
    • Basic Black
    • Crumb cake
  • sprinkles embellishments
  • dimensionals
  • Banner Punch
  • Snail adhesive
  • Fine Tip Glue Pen
  • Multipurpose Tombow Liquid Glue
  • Clear Blocks A,B,D,& H
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Big Shot Die Cut Machine
  1. Cut out all the cardstock according to the measurements above.
  2. Use the banner punch to create a flag on the 3″ x 1″ Designer Series Paper.
  3. Attach one 4″ x 5.25″ Whisper White Cardstock, the 1.5″ x 5.25″ Designer Series Paper and the washi tape to the outside of the card base using snail adhesive. Then attach the second 4″ x “5.25 Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card.
  4. Stamp the “Happiest Birthday” sentiment onto the 2.5″ x 1.5″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Using the Multi glue, attach the sentiment to the banner. Use the dimensionals to attatch it to the card base into position.
  5. Stamp the other sentiment on the inside of the card.
  6. Stamp the cool treats images onto the 3″ x 3″ whisper white cardstock. Note: I used the 2-step stamping technique for the blue ice cream and strawberry. To learn this technique click here!
  7. Using the framelits and Big Shot, cut out the ice cream images and glue them together.
  8. Attach the images to the card base using a dimensional to pop up the orange pop.
  9. For a finishing touch, embellish the front of the card with sprinkles
  10. Voila! You have a completed card.
